The weather in Port Orchard, Gig Harbor and Tacoma is known for being unpredictable, and if a storm causes damage to your roof that is significant enough to where you can’t keep the weather outside, here is how we recommend you approach an emergency roof repair.
Safety First
First and foremost, wait for the storm to pass then get on your roof. It’s never worth it to risk your health and safety, so always wait for the storm to pass before you get on your roof to assess any damage.
Give us a Call
We recommend you call us right away so we can serve you as soon as possible. We understand that urgent roof emergencies can be stressful, so we aim to work as diligently as we can to get your roof repaired and back to normal.
Establish a Temporary Solution
If your home has significant damage due to a falling tree, or significant wind damage you will want to establish a temporary solution. This could include a tarp to prevent further water damage, or it could mean needed to evacuate your home. As always, please use your best judgement.
Call Insurance
Once your roof is temporarily protected, give your insurance company a call. They will review your policy with you to determine coverage and any deductible for which you might be responsible. They will also ask if you have identified a contractor to work with the repairs. Having a contractor established removes one more barrier, and we would be honored if you chose us.
